exploring color photography sixth edition

the photo i shot of eby ghafarian rolling in on a roof bank made it into a color photography textbook!
it's the sixth revision of robert hirsch's exploring color photography - film to pixels.
it's kind of surreal since there are all these classic pioneer photographers in the book.

the photo is from the roof skating section in colin read's video tengu, and also appears in stoops magazine issue 01.

subway skating

connor kammerer - backside 180 nosegrind - queens, new york - 2012

it's been about a year since i joined colin read and crew on their subway skating missions.
it is likely my favorite project i've ever been a part of.
this is a bonus unpublished photo from the series.
the majority of this series is published in 43 magazine issue 003.
colin read's video 'tengu' is out now on dvd, and includes a full subway skating section as well as a roof skating section.
check mandibleclaw.com to get the dvd for yourself or local skate shop, as well as to watch trailers.
gothamist seems to have taken a liking to the project.
